Which radio is right for me?
The first thing to consider is who you're trying to communicate with.
GMRS and Business Band are NOT compatible, so choosing the same type of radio as your friends and family is far more important than any of the technical implications that come with other frequencies.
Q: I'm not sure what my group is using. How can I tell?
A: The easiest way to tell is the channel indicator on the radio. If the display shows numbers, it is likely GMRS. If it displays words (i.e Weatherman, BFG Relay) then it is Business Band.
Still not sure which radio to choose?

Choosing your kit options
Step 1: Pick a radio
Two industry-leading radios are available, the M1 and the G1. Both are powerhouses in the respective bands, so the first thing to consider is which frequency to use - GMRS or Business Band. These two frequency bands cannot talk to each other, so it is vital to get the radio that is compatible with your riding group! If you need help deciding which radio, read our Blog for more information.
Step 2: Choose your intercom
As their namesake implies, Rugged intercoms are durable and performant, even in the toughest conditions. Choose between a 696+ bluetooth compatible intercom and enjoy total cell phone and music control - or try the STX Stereo intercom with all the features of the 696+ but with incredible true stereo sound.
Step 3: Select your mount type
While most of our UTV complete kits do not include this option, we have found some UTV models that benefit from multiple installation locations and types. If you see mounting options while purchasing your complete kit, use the handy guide below for more information:
- Side Mount: Easy access on the side. Only available in specific models.
- Dash Mount: Convenient location right in the dashboard. Typical installation location.
- Top Mount: For a higher, less intrusive setup. Only available in specific models.

Will I need to modify my existing dash?
Mounts that require cutting into the existing dash have been minimized, and the radio and intercom mounts that come with your kit have been painstakingly designed to ensure a clean factory finish appearance (see below). Newer UTV models with smaller dash footprints further reduce from our new Remote Head kits that utilize the factory rocker switch slots while tucking the equipment out of view.
